This book was very well written and had a much more emotional tone that the first book.

Bliss in the first book came across as very immature and I really didn't like her - what kind of person would get excited about introducing her new sister in law to her brother's former lover? But the Bliss in this book seemed totally different - I would almost say she had ADHD. I can relate to mind wandering - but she seemed to have a real problem with focus. It bordered on bizarre.

Stephan was determined that Bliss was meant to be his wife. But the man had issues of his own. While I understood Geoffrey's need for control - Stephan's motivations were a mystery. The reader never really gets a good look into his mind. This book was pretty much about Bliss.

I did like how patient Stephan was with Bliss and how he was able to rein her in - Lord knows that woman needed a handler. And while the BDSM lifestyle is not my cuppa - it seems to work for this couple.

I finished the book in love with Stephan and unsure of Bliss. I thought her reasons for not marrying Stephan to be immature and lame. And I hope to revisit these two in later books and find out that she has calmed and matured.

Overall - I liked the book and would recommend it.

The visual imagery of her writing is breathtaking. Her storytelling is utterly believable and keeps you turning pages to see what comes next. More, please.
I enjoyed "watching" the two stubborn main characters circle each other in their game. Ms. Kent threw in a surprise that I did not expect in the final third of the book. Worth reading as part of this series.
Very hot and steamy book. I was very excited about finally reading Bliss and Stephen book. I was a little surprised at way the story was unfolded. I wasn't very predictable which, I found very refreshing. After, reading romance novel for almost ten years, (yikes) historical romance romance very predictable. This book is sometime new and mouth watering, I never expected it to be so good. I'm really excited to see where this series is going. I want to learn more about Madame Rouge (Ruby) and her past and connect to Lady Perse.
I loved book 1 and 2. Can't wait to see what the rest of the series is like! Both kept me turning pages for hours. Each set of characters is unique and relatable. I read reviews about how book 2 was more emotional. For the most part I agree. There are strong emotions in both but book 2 directly focuses on voicing the emotions throughout the story. I enjoyed the balance of emotion with sensuality in both. The historical setting is a part of the story but not a focal point. Even if I didn't love historical romances, I'd like this one.
Lavinia Kent's story of Bliss and her forever love, the Earl of Duldon, was absolutely incredible!!! The build up of anticipation was almost too much!! They had been family friends for practically all of Bliss's life; as the Earl, Stephan, was the best friend of Bliss's older brother. When they finally both recognize that their union has been inevitable - it is truly a sweet surrender! Don't miss this one!
I chose to purchase this book after reading an article about how the author used Stephen Amell as her muse for Duldon ) Glad I bought it! The characters were well written and likeable. Stephan was dashing. And I liked how the name Felicity made it into the book ) Fans of Stephen Amell and Arrow will know what I mean)

Only small complaint was the lack of a real villain and danger. There was a small issue with another suited but that's all. Missed the danger.Also the sex scenes(while steamy) lasted for way way too many pages. I ended up scrolling past a lot of them after awhile.

THE STORY Stephan Perth, Lord Duldon has wanted to marry Bliss Danser since she proposed to him at twelve. He has waited years for her, however, because he has dark desires that he wanted to get control of before he married. Now that he has decided to marry her, Bliss doesn't want him. Bliss has a reckless side. She has desires of her own that she doesn't even understand but she knows that she doesn't want to marry Duldon so she only has to the end of the season to find another man to marry or her brother will force her to marry Duldon. Surprisingly, Duldon agrees to help her find what she wants in a husband while introducing her to her own sexuality. While she might not want to marry him, Bliss cannot resist Stephan.

OPINION This was a very, very hot book. Readers who don't like graphic sex should avoid this, but the sex is definitely in furtherance of the story and not gratuitous. Bliss and Stephan are definitely meant for one another and have a passionate courtship. Bliss is determined to be strong and forge her own destiny. Stephan wants Bliss even when he thinks he will have to subdue his own nature. When he finds out that Bliss might want the same thing he does, he wants her even more. This book has a lot of BDSM involved. My one complaint about the book is that I was annoyed by the determination Bliss has to not marry Stephan and the reasons for it. Considering how much the two engage in sexual relations, it is just difficult for me to buy her reluctance. By the time her reasons are revealed, it just didn't seem significant enough to justify her reluctance. While it reduced my overall enjoyment in a small part, I still really enjoyed their passionate, intense relationship. This book is hot and readers who like that type of book will be happy with this one.

WORTH MENTIONING I was somewhat distracted during this story by my interest in Ruby who was the subject of the novella REVEALING RUBY that takes place right before this novel. That novella was left on a cliffhanger and there was a small mention that reminded me that I still wanted resolution of Ruby's story.

FINAL DECISION This book is hot with lots of graphic sexual scenes with an emphasis on BDSM. The romance between the couple stays the focus. The only complaint is that the reason Bliss has for denying Stephan's desire to marry her did not seem sufficient when finally revealed.

CONNECTED BOOKS BOUND BY BLISS is the second novel in the Bound and Determined series but can be read as a standalone.
