Lead female character Kate sooooo annoying , I found myself skipping to the end. I just could not take anymore of her self doubt and whining. Seriously- skip this book. The entire book Kate keeps referring to herself as fat- her mother is rude- and it just goes on. I know this book only cost a few dollars, but a coffee would have been a better purchase.
Kat Mizera, thanks for sharing the Las Vegas Sidewinders series with us. I am rereading the series for the second time. This book of has made me laugh and cry so much. Ms Mizera created a group of characters that I would love to have as friends. The story will keep you on the edge of your seat through the whole rollercoaster ride. The truly hot, sexy bits will keep you reading late into the night. Anatoli's story is next can't wait to read it. Thanks again Kat#!
Book 3 in the Sidewinders series is more dark and deep than Book 2.. How Kat does this I don't know. Karl is the goalie for the team and has to handle some things back home.. The biggest issue his psycho crazy ex girlfriend. The plot twists in this one you never see coming. Kate is written so great from the view of a very self conscience low self esteem woman. The things that happen drive Kate down a dark path. The introduction of Dante adds a great twist and a very edgy character. Dante is not a hockey player but is a baseball player with a very bad rep.. How does Kate tame him yet love Karl? You will have to read to find out )
We met Karl and Kate in the previous Sidewinder's story (Drake, Book 2). Karl is the back-up goalie and teammate of Drake. Kate is the best friend of Drake's wife Erin. Karl is a Swedish hockey player and Kate is a PR person with self esteem issues mostly stemming from her body image/size. Karl has a psycho for an ex intent on wreaking havoc. Can Karl and Kate survive together?

Karl and Kate are a great couple and their story will have you on the edge of your seat.
I am so in love with this series. The hero Karl is so real and sexy but has his guy moments that makes him more likable. Kate is sweet but has insecurities that I think many women can relate to. This story was wonderfully written with plenty of sexy times, drama and OMG moments. If you have not read this series you are truly missing out. Cannot wait to start the next book. Highly recommend this to anyone who loves sexy but real heroes, real heroine that is not perfect, scenes that will make you swoon along with a highly entertaining story line.
Karl and Kate meet without knowing who each other are and who they have in common, Kate is a beautiful women who thinks because she has a fuller figure can't be love but Karl is jut the man to show her she can. I love how Kat Mizera chooses female characters of all varieties as it makes the books so much better as the characters are more real and relate-able. With Kate's Mum constant barrage on her weight and Karl spiteful ex you are left hanging to know if they can weather the storm and get their own Happy ever after like their friends Drake and Erin.
Wow Kat Mizera did it again... hitting this story out of the park! There's so many important issues that Kat touched on during this story that it's hard to mention just one. I think one of the most dangerous obstacles we face in life is self-esteem...whether high or low. Either way hinders us from clearly seeing our needs and tends to leave a disastrous path in its wake. So far like the rest of her stories, Kat Mizera, has done an excellent job weaving sensitive topics into a beautifully detailed book. Great job and I can't wait to read the next story! HAPPY READING EVERYONE!!
